I am currently an AWS Quantum Postdoctoral Scholar at Caltech, where I am investigating atomic layer processing of materials for superconducting quantum electronics in the Minnich Group and collaborating with the Mirhosseini Group. In September 2025 I completed my Ph.D. in Materials at the University of California, Santa Barbara, advised by Prof. Ania Bleszynski Jayich and Prof. Kunal Mukherjee (Stanford). My Ph.D. research focused on creating nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition growth, and my dissertation, “Engineering interacting spin systems in diamond for quantum technologies,” can be found here. During my Ph.D. I was awarded the NSF GRFP, the DoD NDSEG Fellowship, and the UCSB-NSF Quantum Foundry Graduate Fellowship. I also spent three months in the group of Dr. TERAJI Tokuyuki at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Tsukuba, Japan working on diamond growth and NV center characterization. Prior to graduate school, I received my B.S. from the University of Richmond where I worked on biosensors functionalized with nanomaterials in the lab of Prof. Michael Leopold and was awarded a Goldwater Scholarship. For more details on my academic and professional trajectory, check out my CV.
Outside of the lab, you can find me playing music (either bass guitar with my band, Dead Flowers, or violin with the Caltech Orchestra), training for my next marathon, and traveling the world when time or conferences permit!
